I have been working in clay as an artistic medium for over 30 years. My path to acquire a BFA in Ceramics took me to U. C. Santa Barbara, Calif. College of Arts and Crafts, Banff School of Fine Arts, and finally, Colorado State University.  After graduating in Colorado I set up a studio and had a small pottery for 9 years, before moving back to the Bay Area.
Once back in the Bay Area in 1989 I began teaching High School at Mt. Diablo H.S., where I started the ceramics program that still exists today. I now teach full time ceramics at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill. For the past 21 years, I also have taught ceramics at Civic Arts in Walnut Creek. My alternative firing class has been one of my specialty classes.
I consider my 2 children however to be my best artwork ever.  My daughter has a BFA in Painting and is presently a 6th grade teacher. My son is still in college pursuing his life path
